George “GStar” is an American entrepreneur, rapper, singer-songwriter, philanthropist and fashion designer. He is a self-made millionaire through his logistics and metal recycling businesses, along with his real estate investments, being dubbed “King of the Down Markets.” His first rap EP, “Dark World,” was announced on March 12, 2022. “Dark World” is expected to release Q4 2023. “Dark World” clothing line along side rumored partners; PacSun, Zumies, and Urban Outfitters, is expected to launch in the United States, Canada, and Europe, in mid 2023. “Dark World” boutique line is supposed to be sold exclusively on SSENSE.
Early life
GStar was born on November 22, 1992, in New York City, NY. He grew up in the project tenement housing of LFC, one of the most dangerous project housing developments in North America. The housing developments were later condemned, and deemed not fit for human dwelling. He was raised by family members who worked many different blue collar jobs to provide for him, his brother, and other family members whom GStar would stay with time to time. He often spent time in Colombia, where his extended family members lived. GStar was eventually sent to Florida, and West Virginia to multiple schools, as well as boys programs, but was eventually expelled again. GStar had a troubled childhood and was often involved in street fights, criminal mischief, and other questionable activities. In addition, he was witness to a brutal murder of his cousin at only the age of 3. The murder of Anthony Buccrelli, Allegedly tied to a pre-arranged assassination, was an active member of one of the reigning five New York crime families. GStar looked to his cousin as mentor and father figure. He later than practiced amateur boxing, winning local boxing awards and becoming ranked nationally at the age of 13. GStar would often spend nights alone, sleeping in parking lots, and motels and was sleeping out of his car in gas stations. During this period he had begun to collect garbage cans, precious metals, and second hand electronics. GStar would collect the items to bring to local recycling yards, and pawn shops for money to buy food and clothing. He was eventually expelled from school for repeated fighting and spent time in a JLAA program known as CC34 where he was subjected to a 23 hour per day solitary confinement. Following his release, Initially self-educated, he attended the City University of New York (CUNY) with his college degree. He began to invest into multiple businesses while attending university. His passion for business and knowledge from the ground up, led him to an eventually successful understanding of his customer base in the various businesses that he had started to grow. The first being scrap metal, and the second, garbage collection. This unique combination would be the beginning of his success in the business and international investment world leading him into the life of entertainment and stardom. GStar began to show his lifestyle through instagram, and his viral following would soon follow. GStar then moved to San Fransisco California after being offered his own reality show, but declined to participate due to his prior business engagements.
Music career
GStar began his career as a rapper by posting an accidental snippet to the audio streaming site SoundCloud. GStar having never rapped before, posted a sound audio clip, messing around with some of his already then rapper friends and associates at a studio in North Hollywood, California. The true beginnings of GStar’s music career are still slightly mysterious, as it had seemed as only with one clip he became a viral rap sensation overnight. Shortly after the clip went viral, it was then removed from SoundCloud for violating policy terms and conditions. Record labels such as 8mm Entertainment, Atlantic UKC, 10K-Projects, and Periscope Entertainment quickly expressed interest in signing him as an artist for his already pre existing large social media following of business and lifestyle content. GStar then moved forward with his rap career while maintaining all of his pre-existing business ventures. He then began a friendship with Mobile, Alabama up and coming rapper NoCap (Kobe Vidal Crawford). GStar credits the beginning of his music career to NoCap. GStar credits platinum RIAA producer Al Geno to a vital part of his success. Geno, credited for creating the Mobile, Alabama “SoundTrap” leading to the likes of his successful production of super star rapper’s NBA Youngboy, Quando Rondo, NoCap, GStar, and Young Bleu. Eventually, Gstar announced “Dark World” as his debut single in December 2022. He also announced plans for a music video, which are currently on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic affecting large productions in Los Angeles. GStar plans to release his first debut single along side NoCap in the winter of 2022. GStar names XXXTentacion, Kurt Cobain, Tommy Lee, and K-Pop star G-Dragon as some of his musical influences. GStar learned rap by the help of some close celebrity friends in the music industry as well as some well noted producers and beat makers.
Business Career
GStar began a scrap metal and garbage collection business, which became his first million-dollar venture, making him a millionaire at age 21. He also operated motor recycling firms in the United States and Eastern Europe, as well as several logistics air-sea port transportation companies. The speculations and origin of GStar’s logistics empire faced multiple controversies during the late 2000’s, including his scrap metal and shipping businesses. GStar’s logistics empires are said to have nearly 30% control of the entire market share. GStar also made large profits from real estate investing during the downturn of the Miami housing crisis. There are many speculations that GStar will yet again do what he did in Miami in 2013, which is to capitalize on a down turning economy, and real estate bursting bubble. In addition to his investments in the U.S, he also has real estate investments both domestic and internationally in cities and countries such as; Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Latin America and the EU. His real estate investments have estimated to generate millions in recurring revenue streams. GStar is also regarded as holding one of the world’s largest fuel mixing facilities. GStar holds stake ownership in a multitude of businesses in industries such as logistics, international freight forwarding, bail bonds, gaming, personal lending, CBD, affiliate marketing, and entertainment. His privately held companies have estimated over $140 million in assets under management (AUM). He also operates over 280 e-commerce websites that generate an estimated $75 million in revenue. GStar was also have said to lead the adult content space as a white label platform distributor, with his first site “The Red Room” being eventually acquired in a large buy out deal by AMP Group Worldwide, the worlds largest adult content creator partner. GStar is also a public speaker who has talked about topics such as leadership, positive motivation, religion and faith, real estate investing, entrepreneurship, finance, and social psychology. His long list of celebrity, religious, sports, music, and political associations have brought him worldwide recognition in both the business and entertainment world.
